A declaration of victory over Arsenal reignited Liverpool’s Premier League title challenge, with Jurgen Klopp’s side dominant at Anfield.
While there are still 11 games left before the January transfer window opens, attention is starting to turn to potential targets as the Reds look to strengthen Klopp’s squad.
Several areas of Klopp’s squad will need reinforcements in the winter market, with a barrage of injuries hitting the Reds.
The main area they are likely to look to strengthen is attack, with Liverpool currently lacking clarity on options beyond Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino.
Here, Football Mirror gathers the latest news on Liverpool transfers with the passing of time until the window opens …
Who should be Liverpool’s main target in the January transfer window? Comments below.
Accord Pulisic red eyes
Liverpool are reportedly considering a shock move for Chelsea outcast Christian Pulisic who are said to be increasingly frustrated with his partial role at Stamford Bridge.
A Covid-19 fight as well as an ankle injury saw the American slide down the hierarchy under Thomas Tuchel.
He has only started one game in the Premier League this season, but scored on the bench against Leicester on Saturday.
But the lack of opportunities is starting to frustrate Pulisic, who wants more playing time before next year’s World Cup.
According to Star of the day, it is a situation which arouses the interest of Liverpool, the Reds being in search of a winger.
Salah and Mane’s long-term future is undecided, with 23-year-old Pulisic being on the Reds’ shortlist of targets, despite the obvious hurdles that would make such a transfer difficult.
Arsenal advance in race to Isak
Arsenal have reportedly edged ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak.
Isak has caught the Reds’ attention after scoring 22 goals in the past two seasons for the Spanish side.
That number includes three La Liga goals this campaign, which has helped propel Sociedad to the top of the table.
But Arsenal are also seriously interested in bringing him to the Premier League as they seek to find a long-term solution for the forward.
Isak appears to be the man they want to fill the role, with Fichajes reporting that the Gunners have made the Sweden international their “top priority”.
The appointment will likely have put the Gunners ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign the 22-year-old, with the forward not a priority for Klopp and the Reds.

Reds target Raphinha has been asked to leave Leeds United and move to Anfield if Liverpool decide to step up their interest.
Raphinha has played for the Whites since joining ahead of their first Premier League return campaign and has already scored five goals this season.
Liverpool will likely be looking for a winger in January and former Rangers boss Alex McLeish believes Raphinha could be the man they are targeting.
“Liverpool are historically bigger and you would expect Raphinha’s head to be turned if they come to ask questions,” McLeish said Football initiate.
âI think the players will want to go to this bigger club. They don’t come much bigger than Liverpool these days.
âRaphinha has a huge talent, only 24. At the same time, you maybe don’t see him playing regularly every week (at Liverpool). It is something that the individual has to evaluate.
