Flights between India and UAE will remain suspended until July 31: Etihad
Dubai: Etihad Airways confirmed on Friday that inbound flights from India will remain suspended until July 31.
This is the latest extension of a travel ban on flights from India as COVID-19 cases increase worldwide due to the highly transmissible “Delta” variant virus.
Etihad responded to a question from a customer on Friday: “Following the latest directives from the UAE government, passenger travel from India to the UAE and the Etihad network has been suspended until the 31st. July 2021 “
UAE nationals, UAE Golden Visa holders, and members of diplomatic missions who comply with updated COVID-19 protocols are exempt and may be accepted for travel.
Emirates said flights to and from South Africa and Nigeria will remain suspended until July 31, 2021, in line with government guidelines that restrict the entry of travelers from South Africa and Nigeria to United Arab Emirates.
Only one daily passenger flight to Johannesburg will operate under the name EK763; however, outbound passenger services on EK764 remain suspended, airline said
Customers who have visited or transited South Africa or Nigeria within the last 14 days will not be permitted on Emirates flights to Dubai.
