Carl Starfelt posts photo of himself watching Celtic match on Instagram

Rubin Kazan and Swedish international Carl Starfelt dropped a huge Celtic clue on Instagram.
The defender, Kazan’s most used man in the 20-21 season [WhoScored?], has been strongly linked to a move to the Bhoys [Anel Advic]. With Celtic in desperate need of improvement in the middle of the defense, Starfelt couldn’t make it in time for tonight’s meeting with FC Midtjylland.
As such, Nir Bitton played and was sent off for two soft yellows. Things could improve soon, however, with Swedish international Carl Starfelt set to sign for Celtic.
On his Instagram pages, the defender shared a story with him during Celtic’s display tonight.

Savoring a steak, the Swede clearly enjoyed the good things this evening before a possible transfer to the Bhoys. With a solid reading of the game, Starfelt averaged 1.1 tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 3.9 clearances over 29 league games. [WhoScored?].
It looks like Instagram is the easiest way for a gamer to spark speculation. Kristijan Lovric sparked speculation by following the club on Instagram earlier this week.
Bhoys need Sweden international Starfelt at Celtic ahead of league start
While Dane Murray and Stephen Welsh kept Midtjylland silent in open play, it’s clear Celtic needed center-backs yesterday.
With the departure of Kristoffer Ajer, we already needed to cover his position. Now if anything, it should be Starfelt plus one or two, if Celtic is aiming to win the title this season.
With three selections for Sweden, Starfelt represents the quality and experience of Celtic. And it’s clear that experience is needed, with long-standing defensive deficiencies defeating the Bhoys on the big stage. Tonight was another blow.
There is hope that the strong and reliable Starfelt can make a difference in this key area. According to Swedish journalist Anel Advic, he’s not old school, however; Starfelt is able to play with the ball at his feet and has impressive passing statistics.
Hopefully this Instagram story means he’s learning about an impending move. It is about time.
